Galician Regional Ports’ Cargo Traffic Rises In Jan-Nov 2017

A Coruña, Spain (PortSEurope) January 5, 2018 – Galicia regional port agency Portos de Galicia, an institution in charge of the management of the 122 harbours owned by Galicia region, has said the total cargo traffic rose by 1.4% on the year in the first eleven months of 2017.

The 122 ports handled a total of 1.6 million tonnes of cargo in January-November, 12,220 tonnes more than in the like period of last year.

The three ports with the largest contribution to the cargo traffic in the period under review were Cariño, with 477,000 tonnes, Ribadeo, with 438,000 tonnes, and Cee, with 323,000 tonnes. The cargo traffic of the three ports rose by 4%, 3% and 3.7% on the year, respectively.
