Gibraltar Port Authority attends Argus Bunker Fuels Conference in Algeciras

Gibraltar (PortSEurope) April 1, 2019 – John Ghio, the Deputy Captain of the Gibraltar Port Authority, has attended the Argus Bunker Fuels Conference held in Algeciras port 26 and 28 March 26-28. It was a regional conference aimed at ship-owners, managers and operations operating within the Strait of Gibraltar hosted by Algeciras port. Topics discussed included the availability of different fuel options within the region,
changing demand, refinery economics and many other critically important business-related matters. Ghio took part in the session which focused on port infrastructure and bunkering solutions, along with several other participants. Manuel Tirado, CEO and Captain of the Port, commented that the importance of Gibraltar Port in the region is well established and the opportunity to present at these types of events offered a valuable opportunity to meet with regional movers and shakers.
