Greece and Cyprus discuss shipping issues

Limassol, Cyprus (PortSEurope) October 15, 2019 – At the Maritime Cyprus 2019” Conference, the Greek Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Ioannis Plakiotakis, held an official meeting with the President of the Cypriot Shipping Chamber, Philippos Philis and the Chamber’s Director General Thomas Kazakos, on Sunday 6 October 2019, in Limassol.

The two sides discussed economic and business cooperation between Cyprus and Greece on shipping-related issues were, emphasizing opportunities for further growth and competitiveness of the shipping industry and the protection of the shipping interests of both countries.

In addition, this meeting provided a unique opportunity for the newly appointed Greek Shipping Minister, to be informed of the infrastructure of the shipping industry in Cyprus.
