Hapag-Lloyd eyes investments in Egypt’s port sector

Damietta, Egypt (PortSEurope) January 22, 2019 – Egypt’s transport minister Hisham Arafat has met representatives of German company Hapag-Lloyd AG, which generates about 50% of the container traffic at Damietta port.  Arafat presented various investment opportunities in the maritime transport sector to the management of the two companies, such as multi-purpose stations in the ports of the Red Sea, Alexandria and Damietta.
