Hapag-Lloyd Modifies Genoa Calls Of MGX Service

Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) December 7, 2018 – German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd plans to modify the Genoa calls of its Mediterranean Gulf Express (MGX) service as of next year.

The ships of the company will arrive at the multipurpose terminal Genoa Port Terminal (GPT) managed by the Spinelli group in Genoa instead of the container terminal SECH.

The last container ship to arrive at the SECH will be the Santa Viola with an expected arrival on December 27 or 28, while the first stop at the GPT will take place on January 10 or 11 with the ship Allegoria.

The weekly MGX line service connects ports in Mexico, the US Gulf and the Caribbean (Veracruz, Altamira, Houston, New Orleans, Miami and Caucedo) with Western Mediterranean ports (Valencia, Cagliari, Livorno, Genoa, Barcelona).
