Huelva, Spain (PortSEurope) May 15, 2019 – Huelva port and the Extremadura regional government have advanced their alliance to create a joint logistics network and have studied the participation of both in logistics projects that enable business opportunities.
Both Huelva port and the group of public companies that make up Extremadura Avante consider of “vital importance” the implementation of business and commercial structures that form a network of alliances with logistics companies.
The president of the port, Pilar Miranda, has valued this progress within its intermodal and diversification strategy. “For us, as a natural port of Extremadura, it is very important to work in collaboration with your regional government in order to encourage the exit of goods from this community through the South Pier,” she stressed.
The institutions have already held several meetings in which it has become clear that the port of Huelva is the natural connection of entry and exit of Extremadura products, as well as “a key element for the development of the logistics strategy and economic growth for Extremadura”, the port authority said.
