Naples, Italy (PortSEurope) April 16, 2019 – Italian lender Intesa Sanpaolo participates in the Italian government’s mission in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to present the country’s Special Economic Zones (Zone economiche speciali).
Since 2017, Intesa Sanpaolo has supportes the Special Economic Zones by allocating a financing of €1.5 billion ($1.7 billion) to support the investments and the infrastructural works necessary to upgrade Italian ports.
In just over a year, the banking group has examined medium and long-term investment projects in the three South Italian Special Economic Zones for over €130 million ($147 million), adding a structured offer of non-financial services for the international development and business growth in terms of training, innovation and the evaluation of opportunities for structured and extraordinary finance transactions.
After Dubai, the roadshow will include other stops in some cities in China by the end of the year.
