Israel looks at Anaklia port as business location

Anaklia, Georgia (PortSEurope) February 21, 2018 – Georgian and Israeli officials have discussed the potential of Anaklia deep-sea port, currently under construction, as a location for some Israeli businesses. Anaklia Development Corporation (ADC) has completed a concept design for Anaklia Port and Free Industrial Zone. It claims that he design will bypass competing ports in the region with superior connections to existing rail and road infrastructure,
state-of-the-art equipment and communications infrastructure, berthing for 10,000 TEU vessels, flexibility for multiple cargo and vessel types, and eco-friendly practices. It will feature a deep sea port and a special economic zone to drive future business. ADC plans industrial and logistic parks, residential, touristic, finance and business centres and recreational zones, which is attractive to potential investors and businesses.
