Israel Shows Interest In Cooperating With Apulian Ports

Israel shows interest in cooperating with Apulian ports

AdSP del Mare Adriatico Meridionale
Bari, Italy (PortSEurope) March 20, 2018 – The Apulian ports can become a new access point for Israel to Europe and encourage synergy between the Apulian pharmaceutical sector and the Israeli pharmacological research companies. “We are considering cooperation projects, as Apulia, with its 800 kilometres of coastline is of great interest to Israel, also by virtue of its proximity. Its ports can become a new gateway for us both
for mercantile and technological exchanges and for tourism,” the Minister for Economic Affairs of the Israeli Embassy in Italy, Sharon Kabalo, said. A study is being carried out to launch a cooperation between the ports of Apulia with harbours in Campania and Israel to strengthen the maritime innovations and technology development, Kabalo noted. Israel invests and supports pharmaceutical and health research and would like to start share know-how with Italy in the pharmaceutical sector, an exchange of experiences that could especially interest young researchers, he added.
