Naples, Italy (PortSEurope) February 14, 2019 – The Israeli ambassador to Italy, Ofer Sachs, with the two delegates Yigal Maor and Shlomo Brieman, has visited Naples port and met with president and the general secretary of the Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mar Tirreno Centrale (AdSP – Central Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority), Pietro Spirito and Francesco Messineo.
During the meeting, Spirito presented the ports of Naples, Salerno and Castellammare di Stabia with their respective attributes, highlighting the growth of cargo traffic and investment projects launched.
“We have spoken with the Israeli authorities on a possible development of the relationship, which is based primarily on greater cooperation in the field of research related to the maritime economy especially from the point of view of technological development”, Spirito said.
The visit of Ambassador Sachs also focused on the synergy between the two countries’ ports, which reaffirmed the importance of the mission to strengthen the commercial ties and the existence of the conditions to adequately develop relations.
