Cagliari, Italy (PortSEurope) June 21, 2018 – Italian group Onorato Armatori group has said that it will complete the merger between ferry companies Tirrenia and Moby by the end of 2018.
“Moby and Tirrenia will become a single company by the end of the year and this company will be Sardinian,” the president of the Onorato Armatori group, Vincenzo Onorato, has said.
Tirrenia will transfer its headquarters to Milan to prepare all the formalities preliminary to the merger with Moby, he noted.
Therefore, as resolved by the board of directors and as also communicated to investors, by the end of the year the two companies, Tirrenia and Moby, will merge into a single group that should be the number one in the world in terms of capacity, Onorato said. “The new company’s registered office will be permanently transferred to Sardinia”.
