Ancona, Italy (PortSEurope) May 20, 2019 – Adria Ferries, a unit of the Frittelli Maritime Group, plans to launch this autumn a new vessel on the Italy-Durrës services it operates, the head of marketing and sales, Michela Rossi, has said.
The new ‘Claudia’ ferry will be added to three others, expanding fleet renewal and strengthening daily connections with Durrës, active on three lines: from Trieste (via Ancona), from Ancona and Bari.
Adria Ferries counts on the synergy with Frittelli Maritime to ensure maximum fluidity in port operations. With about 300,000 passengers a year, the traffic with Albania is without seasonality: in summer there are mainly passengers and cars, in winter trucks and containers.
The company offers tour packages for Albania via tour operator “Il mondo in mano” which offers packages for all tastes: classic Albania, sea, mountains, adventure. Adria Ferries aims to grow, “but the lines in the Adriatic and the Mediterranean are now too competitive we are looking for opportunities in countries that do not have enough maritime connections,” the managing director of Frittelli Maritime, Roberto Mataloni, has said.
