Messina, Italy (PortSEurope) November 22, 2018 – Italian shipping company association Confitarma has requested the country’s transport ministry to undertake initiatives regarding the protection of the jobs of 72 employees of Liberty Lines.
During a meeting with representatives of the ministry, Confitarma called on the government to find an appropriate solution to the future of 72 jobs at Liberty Lines following the decision of the transport ministry not to renew the contract with the company for services at Messina Strait.
Confitarma will hold a new meeting with transport ministry officials on December 4.
