Italy’s Economic Planning Committee Starts Examining Ravenna Port Development Project

Ravenna, Italy (PortSEurope) December 27, 2017 – The Authority of the Northern Adriatic Sea Port System (Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Centro Settentrionale) has said the Italian Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning (CIPE) has started examining the “Hub Portuale di Ravenna 2017” infrastructure development project for Ravenna port.

“The project is moving forward at a sustained pace that makes us understand how much awareness there is of its importance for the Italian port system,” the president of the institution, Daniele Rossi, said.

The project was presented to the Infrastructure Ministry on September 18. In just over three months, it was approved and sent to the Higher Council of Public Works and thereon to CIPE, Rossi noted. CIPE plans to complete the analysis at a session that will be held in January, he added.
