Italy’s International Propeller Clubs completes trade mission to Singapore

Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) November 27, 2018 – Italian association International Propeller Clubs has completed its trade mission in Singapore where it met operators and representatives of local institutions.

The mission included discussions on the Chinese initiative for the launch of a New Silk Road under the cooperation of the National Universiy of Singapore. The Italian delegation also visited the port of Singapore, in particular, the Pasir Panjang Terminal and the new port of Tuas currently which is still under construction.

Furthermore, during the mission several meetings were held with the trade associations of shipping, logistics and bunkering and a visit to the Singapore Stock Exchange was carried out.

“During these four days we got to know better the Singapore excellences, both port and economic and, as in all Propeller missions, we presented ourselves as “system”, illustrating the Italian best practices of shipping, logistics and shipbuilding and the measures of the last port reform that have given new impetus to our ports,” commented the president of The International Propeller Clubs, Umberto Masucci.
