Italy’s MIT Inspects AdSPs Of Civitavecchia, Ravenna And Taranto Ports

Rome, Italy (PortSEurope) January 20, 2019 – Sample inspections are underway by inspectors of the Ministry of Infrastructures and Transport on the management of the Port System Authorities (AdSP – Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale) of Civitavecchia, Ravenna and Taranto ports.

On the recommendation of Minister Danilo Toninelli, the Directorate General of MIT for the supervision of port authorities, port infrastructures and maritime and inland waterway transport will appoint an ad hoc inspection commission composed of general manager of RAM Spa Francesco Benevolo, as president; from the leader of Mit Eugenio Minici and from the Captain of Vascello Sandro Gallinelli, in service at the General Command of the Corps of the Port Authorities.

The commission was commissioned to carry out inspections on the AdSPs of the Central-Northern Tyrrhenian Sea of ​​Civitavecchia, Central-Northern Adriatic Sea of ​​Ravenna and on the Port System Authority of the Ionian Sea of ​​Taranto.

The inspection activity, currently underway and with a maximum duration of six months, aims in particular to verify the management of the respective ports of the three Authorities, with regard also to the economic-financial, legal-administrative and technical profiles.
