Naples, Italy (PortSEurope) December 6, 2018 – Italy’s Onorato Group has launched two new Motorway of the Sea (MoS) lines to offer the road freight operators an alternative for the transport of cargo.
The ships of Tirrenia, a subsidiary of Onorato Group, are already operating two new connections, on a weekly basis, between the ports of Genoa and Naples and between Livorno and Naples.
The company will initially use ro-ro ships which already operate routes to and from Sicily, in order to guarantee journey times of 23 hours and a half on the Genoa-Naples route and 14 and a half hours on the Livorno-Naples route.
