Genoa, Italy (PortSEurope) April 12, 2019 – A consortium led by Italian company Technital S.p.A. has won the tender for the design of a breakwater at Genoa port.
The contract has a value of €13.5 million ($15.3 million) and is aimed at designing a project with a value of about €800 million ($905 million) as the breakwater will be one of the biggest in the Mediterranean.
Technital won the tender in consortium with E.P.F. Elettrotecnica S.r.l., Modimar S.r.l., Studio Ballerini Ingegneri associati, Alberto Albert, HR Wallingford LTD, Dimms Control S.r.l. and Sener Ingeniería y Sistemas, S.A.
A total of seven consortia placed bids in the tender.
