Italy’s Tirrenia To Temporarily Transfer Registered Office To Milan

Cagliari, Italy (PortSEurope) June 14, 2018 – Italian ferry company Tirrenia has said it plans to temporarily transfer its registered office from Cagliari to Milan for exclusively technical reasons.

“In a very short time, and in any case by the end of the year not only will Tirrenia return home, but Sardinia will become the registered office of the entire shipowning group, therefore not limited to just one single company,” the company’s parent Onorato Armatori S.p.A. said.

This decision will also have positive repercussions from the fiscal and economic point of view for the economy of Sardinia, as well as for the recognition of the island as the natural seat of the company. The temporary transfer of only the registered office, and not the operational one, will not entail any employment-related consequences, Onorato Armatori noted.
