
Japanese corporate delegation visits Koper port

Koper, Slovenia (PortSEurope) October 8, 2019 – The Japanese Ambassador to Slovenia, Masaharu Yoshida, has led a delegation of Japanese businessmen on a visit to the North Adriatic port of Koper. Sixteen companies were represented, as well as guests from Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and and Ministry of Economic Development and Technology. The delegation received presentations about the port’s activities and its logistical offers.
The following day, Ljubljana hosted an economic forum today: Challenges and opportunities for economic cooperation between Slovenia and Japan. Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia (CCIS), the guests were informed about the development policies of the Slovenian economy in the future and thereto related possibilities of international cooperation with the most cutting-edge Japanese companies. The main goal was to present possibilities of expanding the cooperation between Slovenian and Japanese companies. Minister Zdravko Počivalšek, Japanese ambassador Takuro Nozawa and President of the CCIS Boštjan Gorjup planned to attend the initial part of the forum. Copyright (C) PortSEurope.
