Las Palmas, Spain (PortSEurope) June 18, 2019 – JLT Mobile Computers, a leading developer and manufacturer of computers for demanding environments and TOC-Europe exhibitors, has announced the successful installation of its robust, Navis-validated VERSO 12 vehicle computer at the OPCSA terminal in Las Palmas.
The installation is the result of a close partnership between JLT and system integrator Autepra, ensuring smooth device integration with the Navis N4 TOS operating system at the hardware and software levels.
OPCSA (Operaciones Portuarias Canarias S.A.) is a container terminal in the port of Las Palmas in the northeast of Gran Canaria, Spain. In order to optimise the productivity and efficiency of the terminal, OPCSA switched to the Navis N4 Terminal Operating System (TOS) in 2018.
Autepra has been tasked with supplying more than 100 robust JLT VERSO 12 vehicle computers with Navis Ready Certification intended for use in all container handling equipment, including ship-to-shore, rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs), recovery systems and propulsion machinery.
The JLT VERSO 12 computer is specifically designed for use in harsh environments and critical business functions where performance and reliability are paramount. It is Navis Ready and ideal for demanding port applications.
