Koper, Slovenia (PortSEurope) January 10, 2019 – In the first quarter of 2019, Luka Koper, the operator of Koper port, will prepare a new Strategic Business Plan for the period 2020-2025.
This will replace the current plan, respond to the strategic challenges of global logistics and will define the key directions of development in the area of personnel, technology, equipment and spatial solutions.
At its December 2018 meeting, the Supervisory Board approved the business plan of Luka Koper dd and the Luka Koper Group for 2019. In 2019, it plans 24.7 million tonnes of cargo, which represents a continuation of a positive trend and a 3% increase on 2018.
Growth is anticipated for all business groups, where, measured in tonnes, the largest is the container terminal. For other strategic commodity groups, growth will depend on the implementation of key investments in infrastructure and on the acquisition of additional areas.
The company will also strive to further increase the throughput in the segment of container loading and unloading, which creates multiplicative effects on several terminals.
