La Spezia Port Attends Propeller Club Visit To Singapore

La Spezia, Italy (PortSEurope) November 25, 2018 – The International Propeller Club’s Singapore mission ended November 23, a visit attended by several Italian port system authorities, including Autorita’di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Orientale (AdSP – Eastern Ligurian Sea Port Authority), with President Carla Roncallo and the Head of the Special Projects and Innovation Sector Federica Montaresi.

The trade mission had a meeting with the Italian Ambassador Raffaele Langella, a conference at the University of Singapore NUS, “A vision from the Italian and Singapore maritime cluster” with the ports of La Spezia and Carrara, meetings with representatives of the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) and the Shipping Association (SSA), with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, and visits to the PSA terminal and the construction site of the new port of Tuas. 

AdSP President Roncallo said, “We had the opportunity to get to know ways of working really innovative and efficient and to present our ports to different possible stakeholders in this geographical area, which moves impressive numbers of containers and to which we already have close business relationships with sharp growth in recent years and regular weekly maritime services from the port of La Spezia”.

“I thank the Propeller Club and in particular its President Umberto Masucci, who has been able to better organize the mission that has given us interesting ideas and stimuli that are certainly very useful for our work in this sector”.
