Las Palmas, Spain (PortSEurope) January 8, 2018 – Las Palmas port handled 985,662 cruise passengers in the eleven months through November, up 6.6% on the year, while the traffic of Tenerife port fell by 1.15% to 769,176 passengers.
In the country as a whole, Spanish ports registered 8.5 million cruise passengers from January to November 2017, which is 4.31% more than in the same period of the previous year, with the arrival of 3,918 vessels, 7.64% more.
In Spain, 3,918 cruises landed in the first eleven months of last year, 278 cruises more than from January to November 2016. In November, 822,698 cruise passengers passed through Spanish ports, 23.8% more, aboard 436 ships, 41 vessels more than in November 2016.
The cruise passengers accounted for almost 27% of total passengers registered from January to November 2017 in the Spanish ports according to the latest available data, which amounted to 31.75 million, 3.89% more.
