Gioia Tauro, Italy (PortSEurope) December 3, 2018 – The Crotone Chamber of Commerce (Camera di commercio di Crotone)has started the process to develop a the Master plan for the development of Crotone port.
Francesco Lagani was appointed as a director in charge of the Crotone Chamber of Commerce for Infrastructures and delegated by the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Alfio Pugliese, to coordinate the meeting, which updated the present on the activities carried out, in particular the signing of two agreements with the Port Authority of Gioia Tauro: one for the preparation of the Master Plan and the other for the joint presentation of community projects (citing the two projects already presented to Interreg Med and being evaluated).
Lagani said that the first meeting aims to pursue a bottom-up consultation with all stakeholders, hence also the presence of Studio Majone & Partners to which the Chamber of Commerce of Crotone, together with the Port Authority of Gioia Tauro, has entrusted the task of drafting the Master Plan.
In the port of Crotone, there will be activities of different bodies and that, on this occasion, will have to plan useful solutions to the criticalities of the port of Crotone: in particular: pollution and reclamation, the internal and external fillers; the construction of works at sea necessary to break the north wind that interferes with the operations of entry and exit from the port; the approval of the Regulatory Plan of the port of Crotone.
