Luka Koper inaugurates new Ro-Ro berth

Koper, Slovenia (PortSEurope) June 10, 2020 – Luka Koper, operator of Koper port, has held the opening ceremony for the new Ro-Ro berth, completed just a few weeks ago, which will serve the car terminal. The berth can accept vessels from 100 m to 240 m of length, with a draft of 10 metres. The total cost of the investment was €6 million, partly financed
by the EU project CarEsmatic. Minister of Infrastructure of Slovenia, Jernej Vrtovec, was present to show the government’s support for current and future development projects and expansion of port areas. The new facility will help keep the port competitive and is one of a number on recent port investments CarEsmatic is an EU Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) co-financed Action.
