Madrid, Spain (PortSEurope) December 22, 2017 – Madrid dry port operator Puerto Seco de Madrid, S.A., has awarded a contract for the delivery of a container identification system in its rail access to Spanish company Infoport.
This system, based on the PROTEO access control solution developed by Infoport, will automatically control all the entrances and exits of the convoy enclosure, detecting their passage and direction, supplying their license plates, identification of IMDG codes for dangerous goods, as well as additional information on the origin/destination.
All information collected online by devices such as cameras, sensors, photocells, etc. it is stored in a cloud server located in a data centre with the maximum security and availability measures. In this way, the managers of Puerto Seco de Madrid do not need any infrastructure in their facilities, only a web access is necessary to control the system.
