
Maersk and PKP Cargo Connect set up rail service between Prague and Koper port

Koper, Slovenia (PortSEurope) November 23, 2020 – Maersk, in cooperation with PKP Cargo Connect, has started a new rail connection between Koper port and the terminal in Mělník, about 40 km north of Prague in the Czech Republic. The service re-opens opportunities, especially for the Bohemian part of the Czech Republic, to establish a direct link to the Adriatic Sea and further on to the
Mediterranean and beyond-Suez destinations. The service runs once a week with the possibility of adding an additional weekly departure in the future.
