Malaga port receives 10 freight ships related to movement of solid bulks and container traffic

Malaga, Spain (PortSEurope) April 1, 2021 – In Malaga, the ship ‘Nordanhav’ loaded 9,500 tons of cement at Pier 6 by Financiera y Minera and Opemar, to which were added the loading of another 40,000 tons of clinker from the ship ‘Ultra Passion’. The movement of other solid bulks, such as the cargo of 4,000 tons of feed and 4,800 tons of dolomite also marked the activity in the area. Dock 9 hosted
the ‘MSC Joy’ stopover which embarked 1,500 full containers. The container and vehicle terminal in Malaga at Pier 9 hosted six of the ten planned vessels, highlighting the operations of the shipping companies Maersk, MSC, Hapag Lloyd and Wec Lines. The commercial and logistics activity in the port continues its upward trend as a supply chain during the whole year, which increased by 60% during the beginning of 2021.
