
Malta Freeport contracts for 15 Konecranes RTGs

Malta Freeport (PortSEurope) April 17, 2018 – Malta Freeport Terminals has ordered fifteen Konecranes Rubber Tired Gantry (RTG) cranes tol be delivered at the end of 2018 and the rest during spring of 2019. Malta Freeport is now the Mediterranean’s third largest transshipment port. It currently operates a fleet of 50 Konecranes RTGs. The 15 Konecranes RTGs currently on order will be equipped with the
Auto-steering, Stack Collision Reporting and Auto-TOS Reporting features. Antti Halonen, Sales Manager EMEA, Konecranes Port Solutions, said: “Malta Freeport has been an important customer for Konecranes since 2005.
