Manfredonia port to launch €170,000 video surveillance system

Manfredonia, Italy (PortSEurope) June 25, 2019 – Manfredonia port’s management plans to launch on June 26 a new video surveillance system, named Guardian Xten.

The port invested about €170,000 ($427,300) in the project.

“It is a solution wanted by the president of the port authority, Ugo Patroni Griffi, after consultations with the local authorities and institutions,” the general secretary of Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Meridionale (AdSP – Southern Adriatic Sea Port Authority), Tito Vespasiani, said.

Guardian Xten is an operationally autonomous technological station that allows the control of large areas through various transmission modes: optical, thermal cameras, perimeter sensors, with the implementation of advanced video analysis algorithms.
