Mercitalia Launches Feasibility Study For Intermodal Service To Bari Port

Bari, Italy (PortSEurope) June 20, 2018 – Italian company Mercitalia Intermodal SpA has launched a feasibility study for a new direct intermodal link between Verona and the Bari Scalo Ferruccio station, near the city’s port.

The aim of the study is to evaluate market interest, in commercial and operational terms through a specific questionnaire aimed at operators.

The project foresees three weekly departures in both directions, starting from the second half of September. The train would have equipped wagons suitable for the transport of semi-trailers.

A brochure can be read here.
