Minister Giovannini meets the Minister of Transport and Logistics of Tunisia

The Minister of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility, Enrico Giovannini, today had a videoconference interview with his Tunisian counterpart, Moez Chakchouk – May 4, 2021 A meeting that confirmed the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the desire to favour their strengthening in the maritime and port sectors and in the railway and civil aviation sectors. Minister Giovannini underlined the commitment
of the Italian Government in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan for the development and modernization of infrastructure networks and ports in Southern Italy, which will also be functional to strengthening cooperation opportunities with other countries that they overlook the Mediterranean, especially Tunisia. The Ministers agreed to immediately start negotiations for the definition of the Cooperation Agreement in the maritime sector. Minister Giovannini also highlighted the strong interest of important Italian companies for collaboration and investment opportunities in Tunisia, both in the maritime and port transport sector and in the railway sector.
