Moroccan investors study business opportunities at Tan Tan port

Tan Tan, Morocco (PortSEurope) July 16, 2018 – A delegation of Moroccan and foreign investors have visited Morocco’s Tan Tan port to explore investment opportunities offered by the region in the fishing and tourism sectors. During this visit, the delegation was able to study the potential of the province in particular in the sector of marine fishing and the role that the port of Tan Tan plays
in the region’s economic growth. Tan Tan port director, Hassan Baich, stressed that the harbour is one of the most important maritime fishing ports in Morocco. The port has a large fishing fleet dedicated of 370 coastal fishing units, 300 traditional fishing units and 50 fishing units on the high seas, he said. The port of Tan-Tan is considered as the third most important harbour in Morocco for naval workshops, as the repair basin spreads on 3 hectares, reaches a volume of 320 tonnes and hosts some 300 vessels annually.
