Motril Port Aims To Become Hub For Spanish-Tunisian Trade

Motril, Spain (PortSEurope) May 15, 2019 – The president of Motril port authority, José García Fuentes, has met with the Tunisian ambassador to Spain, Wacef Chiha, at a business breakfast to discuss business opportunities in the North African country, and the offer of the harbour to become a “link of the logistic chain for commercial exchanges” between both countries.

In addition, the port of Motril has been invited to participate in the Investment Forum organised by the Tunisian Ministry of Transport and International Cooperation on June 20 and 21, the port authority said.

Chiha has highlighted “the diversified and export-oriented economy”, as two characteristics that offer a multitude of “opportunities for partnership” between companies from Granada and Tunisia. But, in particular, Wacef Chiha has referred to the experience of the companies of Granada in some sectors as “added value to be able to establish these economic-commercial relations”.
