Motril port completes work on new facilities for freight forwarders at Las Azucenas dock

Motril, Spain (PortSEurope) February 3, 2021 – The Port of Motril has completed the work on the new facilities for freight forwarders at the Las Azucenas dock, which used a pioneering construction system in Europe that replaces conventional reinforced concrete with precast concrete panels with polymeric fiber. Among the advantages, its durability stands out since the structure experiences less corrosion phenomena. It also has thermal,
acoustic, structural and earthquake-resistant qualities. The Port of Motril (Granada) concludes a project at the Las Azucenas dock with a pioneering system in Europe The work has consisted in the execution of a series of offices, each one equipped with two offices and a toilet, and also has a common unit where the connections and their different derivations are housed.
