MSC to operate Antwerp and Vienna freight rail service

Vienna, Austria (PortSEurope) February 25, 2021 – Starting in April this year, Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is to manage a twice-weekly freight rail service between Antwerp in Belgium and Terminal Wien Süd. part of ÖBB-Infrastruktur. “It is gratifying that, with our long-time customer MSC, we have again managed to load more freight onto environmentally friendly rails thus giving a strong and visible signal in European
freight traffic. In addition, round trips from western ports to Vienna bring a further upgrade to the European freight network at the Vienna South Terminal, ”said Dr. Renate Glisic, Business Area Manager at TSA.
