New Sevastopol-Tarsus service to be started

Sevastopol, Crimea (PortSEurope) June 11, 2018 – A new sea line between Syrian port of Tartus and Sevastopol in the Crimea, is to be established.

Russia operates a military base in Tarsus under a 49-year contract and Sevastopol is located in the Crimean peninsula. It is currently the headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet.

Both ports currently operate under international sanctions.
