Castellón, Spain (PortSEurope) June 13, 2018 – Noatum Terminal Castellón has since the end of April utilised a new Liebherr crane in its machinery equipment. The new reach stacker is a configuration for loading, moving and unloading containers of 20 and 40 feet.
The machine, model LRS 545 in Toplift configuration, was delivered in the 17th week of 2018 and, since then, it has been in operation in the container terminal.
“This unit is the first that Noatum has incorporated in the Peninsula, but we hope that others will be incorporated in the near future,” the crane sales manager of Liebherr Ibérica, Marco González, said.
LRS 545 is equipped with a four-cylinder diesel engine of 230Kw and an average fuel consumption of 12/14 litres hour, González said.
Noatum Terminal Castellón provides a full one-stop-shop service for general cargo, container and dry bulk cargo handling services in the port of Castellón. It is owned by Noatum Maritime.
