Council, a body of assistance and information of the Maritime Captaincy and the Port Authority in which they are represented by natural and legal persons who request it and who have an interest in the proper functioning of ports and maritime trade, an organization created in accordance with the provisions of the Law on State Ports and the Merchant Marine. Through this channel, companies, institutions or organizations can express their opinion on issues related to the proper functioning of the respective ports. Represented in this body are public entities that exercise powers and carry out activities related to the port, public law corporations and private entities or organizations whose activity is related to port and maritime activities, and the most representative unions in the maritime and maritime sectors. port within the scope of the Port Authority. Specifically, the Valencia, Sagunto and Gandía Councils are members of the Valencia Port Authority and all sectors and agents interested in port activity, a broad and interdisciplinary representation made up of entities such as the ports themselves, the Maritime Captaincy, state security forces and bodies, city councils, foreign health, Generalitat Valenciana, state administration, maritime rescue, logistics platforms, unions, chamber of commerce, shipping companies, freight forwarders, mooring companies, carriers, CEV, ASECAM, FAES, stevedoring companies, tugboats or practical. A broad representation of the entire community that is an active part of port action that acts as a consensus and advisory forum that will contribute to coordinating the relations of the port community with the aim of improving the operation and competitiveness of the ports of València, Sagunto and Gandía. In the virtual meetings held today, the members of the Permanent Commission, the Port Services Committee and the Security Committee have been appointed.
