Port of Ancona and Sogesid sign development agreement

Ancona, Italy (PortSEurope) September 8, 2021 – Autorita’ di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Centrale (Central Adriatic Sea Port Authority) and Sogesid have signed an agreement to accelerate the construction of new port infrastructures, reclamation and environmental activities. Sogesid Spa is the “in house” engineering company of the Ministry of Ecological Transition (MiTE) and the Ministry of Sustainable Infrastructure and Mobility (MIMS). It is part of the Ministry of Economy and
Finance (MEF). This will cover infrastructure work at the ports of Ancona – Falconara Marittima, Pesaro, San Benedetto del Tronto, Pescara and Ortona. The agreement, signed by the Extraordinary Commissioner of the Authority, Admiral Giovanni Pettorino, and by the President and CEO of Sogesid, Carmelo Gallo, provides for the company’s technical-specialist support in various actions aimed at environmental protection and functional to interventions for port infrastructure.
