Autoridad Portuaria de Bilbao proceeds with energy transition – March 31, 2021 Autoridad Portuaria de Bilbao (APB – Port Authority of Bilbao) continues promoting different initiatives to make the port of Bilbao more efficient and sustainable, promoting an energy model based on savings (reducing energy consumption), energy efficiency (producing the same with less energy consumption) and distributed generation of energy from renewable sources in individual
or collective installations located close to the point of consumption. Well-integrated from the point of view of environmental impact and with business models that enable this strategy to be maintained. Within this line of action, the company Saitec has been entrusted with the technical assistance work for drawing up an energy transition plan, costing €59,728, to achieve a carbon-neutral scenario by 2050, in line with European, national and regional objectives.
