Port of Koper sees Q2 2021 cargo traffic up over 13%

Koper, Slovenia (PortSEurope) August 16, 2021 – In the second quarter of this year the port of Koper handled nearly 5.3 million tons of goods, an increase of +13.5% on the same period of 2020. In April 2021, traffic registered an increase of + 67.4% on the same month of 2020 while in the months of May and June the traffic volume decreased by -5.1%
and -3.1% respectively. In April-June 2021, containerized traffic was over 2.3 million tons (+11.3%). Traffic of rolling stock and other various goods was 273,000 tons (+42.6%) and 273,000 tons (+81.1%) respectively.
