Port of Malaga will carry out specific initiatives to meet the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda

The Port Authority of Malaga, in its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals promoted in the 2030 Agenda, proposes concrete initiatives for each of them under the slogan “leaving no one behind”, facing the social, economic and environmental challenges of the globalization – June 9, 2021 This proposal, within the framework of the action ‘Málaga, Puerto Verde’, was approved by the Board of Directors of the public
body last week, during which the interest in involving the entire Port Community was indicated to achieve the sustainability of the port, so that these initiatives are integrated into all activities carried out in the port area and in the companies that operate there, laying the foundations for the transition towards a circular economy in port logistics. The president of the Port Authority, Carlos Rubio underlines that “the Port of Malaga has the decided vocation of being a pioneer in terms of integrating sustainability into its daily activity. We are in a tourist and technological city, so we have an obligation to respect the environment. In addition, we attract a high-level nautical and cruise tourism so, as a port, we must comply with very high environmental quality standards ”.You can see the full document here: Complete initiatives Port of Malaga Source: Autoridad Portuaria de Málaga (APM – Port Authority of Málaga)
