Las Palmas, Canary Islands, Spain (PortSEurope) June 18, 2018 – Autoridad Portuaria de Las Palmas (Port Authority of Las Palmas), under the presidency of Juan José Cardona, to discuss:  approval of the project for the extension of the berthing line to the west and west of Muelle Santa Catalina (Santa Catalina Dock – 1st phase), a project to remove sunken vessel remains to increase draft and improvement of the operation in Dársena de África (African Basin) and Alcaravaneras of the port of Las Palmas, and the work reinforcement of the support beam of the blocks section in Dique de la Esfinge.

The assessment of the underwater maintenance and inspection services for the Port Authority of Las Palmas is also planned, as well as the maintenance services of the defense system for the Port of Las Palmas and the Port of Arinaga.

Also, the authority will resolve the request for assignment of partial use of La Luz SA facilities to occupy an area of ​​161,466 m².

In the same way, it will clarify, Naviera Armas SA’ request for a concession to occupy a surface of public domain of 7,668.81 m², for Terminal Marítima de Mercancías dedicated to private use, in the port of Arrecife.

It will also resolve the request for an extension of Satocan SA for the start and end of the works of the public concession granted to occupy an area of ​​2,080 m² of public port domain, destined to “center of expedition and specialized distribution in industrial goods”, located in the Muelle de Arinaga.
