Odessa, Ukraine (PortSEurope) September 25, 2019 – The grain terminal of Posco International and Orexim group was scheduled to be opened on 24 September 2019.

The terminal was built on the base of ex-Nikolaevskiy KHP site and total storage capacity is more than 140 KMT (kilo metric ton) at a time. The port berths of Nikolaev Sea Port are in close location to the terminal.

In February 2019 Posco International purchased a share of 75% of the Grain Terminal in Nikolaev Sea Port from the Orexim Group of companies.

Initially, Posco plans to increase Ukrainian grain export to 3 million tonnes per year. Also the company has in plans to create their own park of rail wagons for grain transporting.

The Orexim Group’s main activities are the export of agricultural products, port and logistic services.

Posco International is a South Korean group with multiple interests including food resources.
