Tenerife, Spain (PortSEurope) August 9, 2017 – Canary Islands-based agency Puertos Canarios, shipping companies Fred Olsen and Naviera Armas S.A. are to put in place several measures to reduce the congestion caused in the ports of the archipelago by the influx of passengers in summer.
The director of the public entity, Manuel Ortega, has met with representatives of the two shipping companies that operate the inter-island maritime lines to establish these measures, among which is to enable a specific area for passengers carrying out the manoeuvre of landing and another for those who do the boarding.
