Transneft oil traffic through Novorossiysk port rises in 2016

Novorossiysk, Russia (PortSEurope) January 9, 2017 – Russian oil transport group Transneft handled 30.6 million tonnes of oil through Novorossiysk port in 2016, spokesperson Igor Demin said. Therefore, the increase of oil traffic handled by the company via Novorossiysk port rose by 600,000 tonnes on the year, Demin added. The total oil traffic handled through seaports by Transneft increased last year, Demin explained. The highest
rise was registered in the ports of Primorsk, Ust-Luga and Kozmino, he added. Public Joint Stock Company Transneft, together with its subsidiaries, transports crude oil and oil products in the Russian Federation, China, and internationally.
