Sea Lines to start Karasu-Constanta port Ro-Ro service

Constanta, Romania (PortSEurope) February 2, 2021 – On February 4, 2021, the ship Vasaland will arrive in the port of Constanta, the ship that serves the Ro-Ro line on the route Karasu, Turkey, + to Constanta. A weekly rotation the service will make 3 stops in the port of Constanta, every two days. The service is run by Sea Lines and the agent of the ship
will be MLH Shipping Agency. The service starts February 3. The route will be serviced by 1 Ro-Ro vessel, with a capacity for up to 155 units and 12 drivers in Covid-19 safe single cabins. Karasu and Constanta terminals are strategically located near important highways and provide space for handling all types of cargoes. Their locations also provide a close and quick connection to the main industrial zones. Karasu Port is the largest Ro-Ro port in the Black Sea, Turkey’s main center for transport to Central Europe. It is located in Northwest Turkey, east of Istanbul, 197 nautical miles siuth of Constanta. This maritime service shortens the transit time for goods moving on the roads between Turkey and Central and Eastern Europe, being a safer and cheaper alternative to transport than road transport.
