Government of Serbia – November 7, 2019
The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, today, accompanied by the Ambassador of China to Serbia, Chen Bo, visited the national stand of Serbia at the Second Chinese International Export Fair EXPO in Shanghai.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic and Minister without portfolio in charge of innovation and technological development Nenad Popovic also visited the exhibition space.
At this year’s event, ten companies from Serbia present themselves to customers from China and around the world. There are most food companies on our stand, performing under the slogan “Aromas of Pure Nature”.
High quality Serbian wines, dairy products as well as organic aronia and truffle products were presented.
At this fair, 3,000 companies are exhibiting their offer on 400,000 square feet of showroom space.
Brnabic continued her multi-day visit to China by visiting the Baoshan port, which is Asia’s largest 1,600-metre cruise ship and can accommodate four cruisers at a time.
The specificity of this port, which was put into operation in 2011, is that it has a system whereby the cruiser no longer uses its fuel when anchored, but is supplied with electricity from the shore, from a large transformer station in the port, thus protecting the environment.
During the visit, the hosts presented the Prime Minister a souvenir – a model of the cruiser “Spectrum of the seas”, which is approximately 350 meters long and has 2,137 cabins.
